Job Description:

This position will be for 1st Grade in the upcoming year, we have a large class and this may be a permanent 1st grade position or it has the possibility to in the future change levels in the elementary.  This is a classroom where the teacher will be expected to implement small group learning and large group learning as well as implementing interventions as needed for the students.  This is a Fulltime position and can stay fulltime for the future in a growing school.  We have a 4-day work week with Fridays off, we do have staff Professional Development on 1 Friday a month to help keep staff up to date on our curriculum and supplemental programs.

Wellton is a growing rural community just east of Yuma, we are growing as a school and are planning to expand our school size as we move forward in the next few years.  Wellton has been an A or B rated school and plans to continue to excel as we move into the future and needs a TEAM player to join our staff and add to our staff’s diversity and excellence.  We have a hard-working staff that gets along and enjoys working together and with our students.  Though we are in southern Arizona we  not have many EL students which means many students are ready to learn as they enter school as we have very few students who do not have some command of the English language.
