Job Description:

This position will be for Middle School MAth, Grades 6-8 in the upcoming year.  We are also looking for a second major or teaching area that the individual may have to allow more flexibilty in scheduling.  This is a classroom where the teacher will be expected to implement a learning style that the students have success with and provide classroom discipline to make sure we have a controlled environment to learn for our students.  The teacher we choose will need to be able to present work to the students in an interesting and engagine fashion to help them learn and be excited about the teaching style.  There may be a need to use small group learning to supplement large group learning as well as implementing interventions as needed for the students.  This is a Fulltime position and will stay fulltime for the future in a growing school.  We have a 4-day work week with Fridays off, we do have staff Professional Development on 1 Friday a month to help keep staff up to date on our curriculum and supplemental programs.

Wellton is a growing rural community just east of Yuma, we are growing as a school and are planning to expand our school size as we move forward in the next few years.  Wellton has been an A or B rated school and plans to continue to excel as we move into the future and needs a TEAM player to join our staff and add to our staff’s diversity and excellence.  We have a hard-working staff that gets along and enjoys working together and with our students.  Though we are in southern Arizona we do not have many EL students which means many students are ready to learn as they enter school as we have very few students who do not have some command of the English language.
