Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: Ray Unified School District in Kearny, AZ is seeking a full time high school math teacher for the 2018-19 school year. The position is responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops and progresses math skills in students and teaches to the AZ Math Standards. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: • 150 days annually with salary in accord with Teacher Salary Schedule as approved by the Governing Board. EVALUATION: This position will be evaluated annually by the Principal in accordance to Board Policy.

The Ray Unified School District is located in Kearny, Arizona a small town located in the Copper Basin corridor. The ASARCO Cooper Mine is located 8 miles north of town and is the largest taxpayer to the school district. The mine is working toward hiring to full capacity within the next year. The school district has approximately 460 students preschool - 12th grade. The District has two schools, Ray Elementary (Prek-6) and Ray Junior-Senior High (7-12). The district offers a 150 day teacher contract and operates on a 4 day school week (M-Th). A safe district comprised of 43 teachers with low class size ratios make our schools an attractive school district to work in. Signing Bonus and Relocation stipend can be negotiated.
