Food Services Coordinator

TUSD Title: Program Coordinator - Food Services School Garden Network #8619

SUMMARY

Food Services Coordinator Coordinates activities and functions of the TUSD School Garden Network. This includes coordinating the food literacy program, nutrition and culinary education and professional development as well as engaging community partners, program reporting and other activities related to school garden network program expansion.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR FOOD SERVICES COORDINATOR

• Bachelor’s Degree

AND

• Four years of experience administering or coordinating programs related to nutrition, culinary education, food systems or gardening and public health.

OR

• Eight (8) years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs related to nutrition, culinary education, food systems or gardening and public health.

WITH

• Knowledge and ability to use word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program.
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Some positions within this classification may require some type of certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s Degree
• Registered Dietician
• Culinary Experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE:

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

COMMENTS:

• Food Services Coordinator pay range $58,184 to $67,547.43/year

• Effective: 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
• Location: Food Services - 2150 East 15th Street
• Classification: EXC
• FTE : 1.0 FTE - 8 hours per day
• Work Calendar: 12 month
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
