QUALIFICATIONS
1. Valid Arizona Teaching or Administrator Certificate
2. Master’s Degree and academic coaching preferred
3. Valid Arizona Driver’s License
4. Outstanding human relation skills (students, parents/community, teachers)
5. Knowledge in computer skills and programs (Google and Microsoft Suites)
6. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
7. Ability to satisfactorily pass a background check, including positive references from previous immediate supervisors.
8. A valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint card.
SUPERVISED BY: Building Principal/Federal Programs & Curriculum Director
CONTRACT DAYS Eleven (11) Months (ten working days before and after the required teacher contract days)
SALARY: Salary is to be determined by district pay scale and board.
(This position is not eligible for classroom site fund performance pay)
POSITION GOALThe Instructional Coach will facilitate change and create sustainability in instructional practices of teachers that will enable them to utilize best practices and analyze student data to more effectively drive instruction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide leadership for teachers by collaborating, planning, organizing and facilitating change to improve classroom instruction.
2. Analyze data and assist teachers in the interpretation to measure and improve student achievement.
3. Provide knowledge of appropriate standards and content.
4. Facilitate the use of research based teaching strategies and best practices to address the needs of the teachers.
5. Provides staff development as needed to implement the school’s improvement plan.
6. Establish and maintain effective communication with all instructional staff.
7. Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and ethical standards to achieve the goals of Sanders Unified School District.
8. Work collaboratively with district instructional personnel to improve horizontal and vertical continuity in the school’s instructional program.
9. Observes teachers in their classrooms and offers insights for enhancement of their instructional practices.
10. Create an atmosphere of trust and collaboration among staff to promote professional growth.
11. Provides individual and group instructional support and professional development for digital platforms.
12. Attend biweekly meetings with Educational Support Services for professional development.
This is a certified position in the Sanders Unified School District.
We have very affordable teacher housing rates: $187 per month up to $280.00 per depending on whether or not you need a 1, 2, or 3 bedroom home.
We are located right off Interstate 40 and State Highway 191 South. You will be working in a great rural district with easy access to larger communities.
