With sunny weather and breathtaking desert-mountain scenery as our daily backdrop, Sahuarita Unified School District (SUSD#30) serves approximately 6,300 students in a boundary of 606 square miles in an area located just south of Tucson, Arizona. There are four elementary schools, two K-8 schools, one middle school, two high schools, an alternative secondary school, one fully online school, and an early childhood center. Sahuarita Unified School District is seeking multiple paraprofessionals assisting Special Education teachers and special needs students from Kinder through 12th grade.

TITLE:  SECURITY/FACILITIES DIRECT SCHEDULER        
 
CONTRACT TERMS:  12 month
 
SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Support Staff Salary Schedule – Group C

  • $15.25/hr to start

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
To provide a safe and secure environment for students and staff and to play an integral part in providing a service-oriented relationship with district departments, contractors, vendors, and other governmental agencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS  

  • Ensures that rented facilities are secured after rental;
  • Assists with opening and closing of buildings for functions;
  • Empties trash receptacles after renters;
  • Spot checks cleanliness of areas being rented and clean, if needed;
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

CLERICAL

  • Performs secretarial duties for the Director of Maintenance and clerical/secretarial duties for others in the Facilities Office as specified by the Director;
  • Processes mail for Facilities Office;
  • Takes phone calls, answers questions, takes messages;
  • Provides for punctual and efficient routing of messages;
  • Makes appointments, keeps calendar schedules;
  • Ensures proper and professional communication with customers and outside entities;
  • Prepares requisitions and generates work orders;
  • Prepares correspondence and other written documents;
  • Prepares reports, as required;
  • Prepares Governing Board agenda items as requested by Director;
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

GENERAL FACILTIES OFFICE

  • Serves as liaison to other departments, outside agencies and private citizens regarding facilities issues;
  • Types and mails or faxes documents, as required;
  • Undertakes special projects, as necessary;
  • Updates Policy Manual as directed;
  • Prepares departmental transmittals;
  • Operates machines such as FAX, copier, as needed;
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS  

A.  REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Two years experience preferred;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PC programs including, but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheets, accounting software and databases;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in typing;
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license;
  • Ability to communicate and work well with staff, students and the public.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
 
A.  TIME MANAGEMENT:  Must plan two weeks to twelve months in advance;
B.  STRESS MANAGEMENT:  Periodic stress due to intermittent deadlines;
C. PUBLIC CONTACT:  Interacts primarily with other employees and the general public;
D. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY:  Responsible for confidential records and information;
EVALUATION PROCEDURE:  In accordance with provisions specified in Governing
Board policy.
