JOB TITLE:  Videographer, Public Relations/Marketing

 

JOB GOAL:  To conceptualize, produce and package multimedia content to meet marketing, communications and editorial needs of the Queen Creek Unified School District.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or related field (photojournalism) preferred.

  • Uses industry-standard production approaches to storytelling and documentation through traditional and contemporary media, including video, audio, and written works.

  • Highly proficient in the use of Professional Video Production Equipment.

  • Experience in graphic design, audio and video recording/editing.

  • Highly proficient using the Adobe Creative Suite, and Canva.

  • Knowledge in set lighting.

  • Knowledge of green screen use.

  • Knowledge in social media/live vlogging, shooting/editing photos and videos, audio editing and visual communications.

  • Comfort with public speaking and small group training.

  • A collaborative approach in working toward common goals with team members.

  • Ability to multi-task and complete work accurately under deadline.

  • A passion for public education.

  • Ability to represent QCUSD in a positive and professional manner.

 

REPORTS TO:   Director of Public Relations/Marketing

EVALUATION:  Initial evaluation to be completed no later than ninety (90) days after first day of work; thereafter, annually by supervisor.

HOURS:  40 hours per week Monday-Friday

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

  1. Support QCUSD vision, mission and goals.
  2. Design and produce a variety of outreach and educational materials to market and build the district’s image and educate stakeholders on district projects, programs and initiatives in consultation with Marketing Director and other District management
  3. Coordinate with staff in developing ideas; produce graphic materials in support of projects; design layouts; acquire cost estimates and establish schedules for production of materials; ensure quality, budget and time requirements are met.
  4. Process, edit and retouch photographs for various mediums and formats.
  5. Implement and manage an archiving system/process for all photos and video.
  6. Conduct video production, which involves interacting with staff and community and operating all portable video and audio equipment including drafting message and script content.
  7. Transport and set up lighting and audio equipment as required.; Provide limited troubleshooting and maintenance of field production equipment, as well as, training and assistance with multimedia/video management.; Perform other specific job-related duties as assigned.
