Job Description:

JOB GOAL:

To provide supplemental language instruction to targeted students to increase reading skills in phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. To prepare students for the reading and writing portions of the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) assessment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid Arizona State Teaching Certificate for the Elementary (K-8) level or Secondary English with a Reading endorsement.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary or Secondary education.
3. Five years of successful teaching experience at the Elementary (K-8) or Secondary English level.
4. Experience in teaching Reading required.
5. Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsement.
