Job Description:
Tombstone High School is looking to hire a math teacher for the 2025/26 school year to teach advanced math classes.
Candidate requirements:
Hold a bachelors degree in mathematics or a related field
Hold a valid teaching certificate with High School math endorsement and Arizona Educator Proficiency Assessments, or hold hold a valid state certificate and successfully passed the National Evaluation Series exams for secondary mathematics.
Holds a masters degree in mathematics, or has at least 18 credit hours of graduate level courses mathematics if the masters degree is in a different field.
Candidates who hold sufficient undergraduate math credits to qualify for admission to a graduate program in mathematics and who are willing to enroll and pursue a masters degree in mathematics will be considered.
The candidate will meet all necessary requirements to be certified by Cochise College in Sierra Vista, Az to be appointed as an Associate Faculty member in Mathematics.
The candidate should have several years of teaching experience at the high school level.
The candidate will be expected to teach high level mathematics classes, which could include Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Interventions/pre-algebra, andd statistics. The candidate will be expected to teach college level courses covering algebra, pre-calculus, trigonometry, calculus.
