Grand Canyon USD #4 is seeking qualified persons interested in fulfilling the duties of a K-12 Guidance Counselor located inside Grand Canyon National Park. We have a 4 day school week, affordable housing, excellent medical benefits, and a beautiful place to work and live.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The School Guidance Counselor is responsible for assisting students in areas of academic achievement, personal or social development, and career and/or college exploration so that each student can identify personal goals, strengths, weaknesses, and interests and grow to become a well-adjusted and productive adult.
This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to all individuals within the district – students, parents, staff members and community members. The ability to maintain confidentiality is critical in this position. In addition, the School Guidance Counselor must be sensitive to the needs of the district, students, parents and staff.

Preferred Education and Experience
Expected Hours of Work
Work is based on a four, ten-hour day week with the possibility of appointments or meetings after school hours and/or on weekends. This is an 11-month position with two weeks worked after the end of the school year and two weeks worked before the beginning of the school year.
