Job Description:
The Elementary Technology Teacher and District Test Coordinator is responsible for delivering engaging technology instruction to K-8 students while ensuring the district’s compliance with state and federal testing regulations. This dual-role position involves fostering digital literacy among students, maintaining technology-based curricula, and coordinating all aspects of testing within the district.
Pay: Based on education/experience
Calendar: 184 Days
Reports to: Principal/Superintendent
Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate (Computer Science Endorsement)
- Current IVP Fingerprint Card
- Experience teaching K-8 students in a technology-focused setting.
- Familiarity with standardized testing protocols, state testing requirements, and data analysis.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and state education officials.
- Proficiency in educational technology tools, software, and digital learning platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement technology-based lessons aligned with state and district educational standards.
- Teach students fundamental computer skills, coding, digital citizenship, internet safety, and other technology-related topics.
- Integrate technology into core subject areas to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain and troubleshoot classroom technology, including computers, tablets, interactive whiteboards, and software.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support technology integration into their instruction.
- Assess student learning and progress in technology-related subjects.
- Stay up to date on emerging educational technologies and recommend improvements to technology programs.
- Provide professional development and support for teachers in the effective use of instructional technology.
- Plan, organize, and oversee the administration of district and state-mandated standardized tests.
- Ensure compliance with all testing regulations, guidelines, and security measures.
- Train and support school personnel, including test proctors, administrators, and teachers, on proper testing procedures and protocols.
-Manage testing schedules, accommodations for students with special needs, and secure handling of testing materials.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the district, state testing agencies, and school administrators.
- Address and resolve testing irregularities or issues as they arise.
