Job Description:

Part-time (.50 FTE)

Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor’s degree; a valid Arizona teaching certificate; an Arizona Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsement OR Bilingual endorsement OR English as a Second Language (ELS) endorsement; an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card; a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Preferred qualifications: At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience; bilingual in English and Spanish; thorough knowledge of ELL and Title III laws and regulations.

Additional requirements: Superior oral and written communication skills; strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work cooperatively, effectively, and respectfully with staff, parents and students from diverse backgrounds; SEI teachers in grades 7-8 should be certified in Language Arts or English, and teachers in grades 9-12 should be certified in English.
