Job Description:

We are seeking passionate and experienced Elementary Level Teachers to join our Waldorf Inspired Charter School. As a Combined Class Elementary Level Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a holistic and engaging education to our students. The ideal applicant has excellent communication skills, rich teaching experience, and takes joy in both creative problem-solving and collaborative work. The teaching staff includes both full-time and part-time positions. We need a teacher for the upcoming year that feels comfortable with a class of students in combined grades. We are currently looking for a 1/2 and a 3/4/5 teacher as well as a kindergarten teacher. Each class will not exceed 25 students.

Responsibilities:
Plan, develop and implement lesson plans for a combined class of students
Deliver instruction using Waldorf-inspired teaching methods and techniques
Create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for academic and personal growth
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate events and activities
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge


Prior training and knowledge of Waldorf Education are preferred, with the expectation that hired candidates will continue to attend professional development opportunities to deepen their understanding of public Waldorf education. Candidates must have the ability to meet state requirements for teaching grades 1 to 5 in a charter school. Prior training or experience in elementary grades is preferred.
