Starting Salary: $53,500-$78,509

As an Art (MS & HS) and Yearbook Teacher, you will inspire creativity and ignite a passion for artistic expression in students. Through engaging lessons and a hands-on approach, you'll guide students to achieve academic excellence while fostering their unique artistic abilities. What we are looking for in a team member at Western:
Bachelor's degree (preferred).
Bilingual- Spanish (preferred)
Experience as an Art Teacher.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement lesson plans that foster creativity and critical thinking.
Valid State of Arizona “IVP” Fingerprint Clearance Card (or acquired prior to employment).
Experience supporting students with emotional and behavioral challenges.
Experience in creating and delivering a comprehensive art curriculum that aligns with state or national standards.
Ability to integrate various art forms (drawing, painting, sculpture, digital media, etc.) into lessons.
Experience with project-based learning and promoting student-driven artistic exploration.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the target or similar communities and in a similar role.
Maintains consistent, punctual, and regular attendance.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Tailor instruction to meet the needs of individual students and small groups.
Evaluate and cultivate the academic and social growth of students.
Monitor progress toward course standards.
Maintain strong classroom behavior and establish clear expectations.
Supervise students during out-of-classroom activities.
Participate in ongoing professional development through in-service training and self-selected opportunities.
Assist in advisory classes for student mentorship, parent communication, and advocacy.
Ensure student safety by fulfilling supervision duties throughout the day.
Build collaborative relationships and maintain mutual respect with students and colleagues.
Analyze assessment results to modify instruction.
Follow directives and apply relevant rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe and organized learning environment.

Physical Demands:
Sit or stand for extended periods of time, in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Stamina to work a full day; including supervise evening events/meetings

Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects.
