Job Description:
The School Secretary/Registrar will be responsible for coordinating report collection activity, drafting correspondence and reports, establishing and maintaining school record-keeping systems, assembling materials, compiling records, planning agendas for meetings, tabulating statistical or financial data, working independently on special projects and such other tasks as may be assigned by the Principal. These include, but are not limited to:
1Coordinates appointments and calendar for the Principal.
Distributes mail and other correspondence in an efficient and effective manner.
Takes messages, answers all telephone calls and emails in a courteous professional manner.
Prepares memorandums, letters and other correspondence.
Knowledge of accounting system for Purchasing and Reporting.
Maintains and keeps current student files and records.
Makes Deposits of school funds on a weekly basis
Maintains accurate financial records.
Makes service phone calls.
Compiles and prepares materials for the principal and teachers at the beginning and end of the school year
Prepares reports needed for the District and State Department of Education.
Registers and schedules new students in appropriate classes.
Interprets and inputs pertinent information student transcripts and maintains an accurate student information system.
Processes withdrawals and notifies appropriate personnel.
Distributes keys and materials to substitute teachers.
Work with Student health issues when Health Aide is not available.
Is loyal, cooperative and supports district and school policies.
Assists in progress, report cards and transcripts
