Job Description:

This is a fulltime position for the 2025- 2026 school year

Schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4 pm

Salary range: $50,000 - $56,000 DOE

POSITION SUMMARY

Effectively manage the Exceptional Education learning environment to prepare lesson plans, provide specialized instruction, evaluate, monitor, and collect data on the students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning. The Special Education Teacher will complete required case management duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  1. Master's degree in Special Education preferred, Bachelors required
  2. At least 3 years of successful classroom teaching experience in special education in a high school setting
  3. Arizona Special Education Teaching Certificate required upon hire
  4. Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Other requirements:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to present operational information to personnel at all levels.
  • Able to identify and recruit potential funding sources.
