This is a fulltime position for the 2025-2026 school year
Schedule is Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Salary range: $64,000 - $72,000 DOE
OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
To promote academic excellence and student well-being by serving as both a classroom teacher and an instructional leader under the direct supervision of the Superintendent. This position supports school-wide improvement efforts, fosters a safe and inclusive environment, and ensures effective teaching and learning practices. The site administrator/teacher is a hybrid role that combines direct classroom instruction with administrative leadership responsibilities. This position supports the implementation of district policies, instructional initiatives, and student support systems. In the teaching role, the individual will plan and deliver standards-based instruction and assess student progress. In the administrative capacity, they will assist with daily operations, coordinate student services, support staff development, and contribute to a positive school culture. The role requires strong organizational, instructional, and leadership skills.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Instructional Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in assigned subjects and grade levels
- Utilize data to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of learners
- Assess student progress regularly using a variety of methods and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain a positive, well-managed, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress, achievements, and concerns
- Implement school and district initiatives related to curriculum and instruction
Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment of school practices with the mission and goals of the organization, maintaining a clear focus on academic excellence and student success
- Establish connections with all staff to build trust, share ideas, and accomplish work
- Help staff become more effective through strengths development, clear expectations, encouragement, and coaching
- Inspire staff through positivity, vision, confidence, challenge, and recognition
- Establish and communicate clear goals, keeping them at the forefront of the school community's attention and efforts
- Foster a data-driven school culture to inform instructional practices, curriculum development, and overall school improvement efforts
- Support the superintendent in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the schools
- Assist in enforcing school rules, behavior expectations, and disciplinary procedures.
- Monitors student attendance and supports intervention strategies
- Complete teacher evaluations and provide coaching support under the direction of the Superintendent
- Coordinate professional development and staffing training sessions
- Help lead school improvement planning and data analysis efforts
- Coordinate budget sections related to curriculum and instruction, ensuring alignment with educational priorities and resource needs
- Compile and coordinate information for compliance reports, correspondence, and memoranda, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
- Attend governing board meetings and provide reports as requested by the Superintendent, ensuring alignment of school initiatives with district goals
- Act as a liaison between staff, students, families, and district leadership
- Supports safety drills, emergency procedures, and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school functions as needed
Other Duties
- Model professionalism and ethical behavior in all interactions
- Maintain confidentiality following district policy and applicable laws
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background:
- Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject area
- Valid administrative license/certification (e.g., Principal or Administrator Certificate in your state)
- Valid state teaching certification in the appropriate subject and grade level
- 3–5 years of successful teaching experience
- Ability to model and support effective instructional practices
- Use of assessment and performance data to inform teaching and school improvement strategies
- Strong skills in managing student behavior and promoting a positive learning environment
- Clear, respectful, and effective communication with students, staff, families, and the broader school community
- Ability to foster a collaborative culture among teachers, staff, and administrators
- Skilled in conflict resolution and facilitating professional growth
- Sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and needs of students and staff
- Promotes equity and inclusion in all school practices
- Uses educational technology to enhance instruction, communication, and data tracking
- Effectively prioritizes tasks, meets deadlines, and handles multiple responsibilities
- Passion for fostering academic and social-emotional growth for all students
- Maintains high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical behavior
