   Qualifications:

• Arizona Teaching Certificate
• AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• SEI endorsement coursework completed
• Appropriate approved areas/ endorsements maybe required depending on area of instruction
• Knowledge of computer applications
• Programming Options and Certification:
  • Mild/Moderate (MiID)

Job Duties:

• Plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs of students based on their skills, abilities, and unique circumstances
• Complete duties as Service Coordinator for students assigned to individual workload (to include IEP paperwork, quarterly progress reports, data collection, parent communication, collaboration with team members, attendance)
• Use effective behavior management strategies when working with students identified with disabilities to provide interventions and develop behavior intervention plans
• Collaborate with classroom teachers regarding classroom adaptations, instructional modifications, adaptive equipment, behavior modification plans and other similar instructional interventions to meet the needs of students identified with disabilities
• Basic Knowledge of computers, software and applications

Physical Requirements

Positions in this classification typically require stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pushing, reaching, lifting, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.  Employees may be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.  Position can require some degree of physical interaction with students who have difficulty controlling behavior.

Salary: $55,249- $67,479

STIPEND: $5000
